# View & Edit Training

Fix a detail, add a file, or share it.

## Tap to Open

Tap **Training** in the navigation bar, find your training on the **Upcoming** or **History** tab, and **Tap the Training** to open it.

<div><figure><picture><source srcset="https://946479658-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbOWuzIpL5k2toZeIBVvC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-08c1b4006f1a991c674a62bf97155f4a7a57c6a7%2Fcertlocker-training-detail-dark.png?alt=media" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://946479658-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbOWuzIpL5k2toZeIBVvC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-f935a747b7744241ae07db24b006d3b5f912305a%2Fcertlocker-training-detail.png?alt=media" alt="A training record with its title, Self-logged and CE earned badges, course description, and Instructor" width="375"></picture><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><picture><source srcset="https://946479658-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbOWuzIpL5k2toZeIBVvC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-bf2c7bcafb5c858718c2191c3738761ac479aeac%2Fcertlocker-training-detail-lower-dark.png?alt=media" media="(prefers-color-scheme: dark)"><img src="https://946479658-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FbOWuzIpL5k2toZeIBVvC%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-151f8209e6d2d3eb3f0cb72d6224efacbb6cc57f%2Fcertlocker-training-detail-lower.png?alt=media" alt="Further down the training record, When and where, Directions, and Sharing" width="375"></picture><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

At the top you'll see the training's title, whether it was **Self-logged** or an **Organization session**, and how many CE units you earned, followed by its discipline, type, and topics.

## Edit in Place

Tap any part of a training you logged yourself to change it: the title, the **Course description**, the **Instructor**, **When & where?**, and your **Notes**. Changes save as you go. If the instructor is a CertLocker user, tap **Link Member** to pick them from a list (tap **Unlink** to go back to typing their details).

Below that, **Attachments** holds any files for the training, like a syllabus or handouts. Tap **Add attachment** to add one, and use **Open**, **Download**, or **Delete** on each file.

## Training Details

Tap the **Info Icon** (the circled **i**) in the top right corner to open **Training Details**, where you can change the **Credits earned**, the **Discipline** and **Training type**, and the **Topics**. Tap **Done** to close it.

## Share a Training Record

Tap the **Share Icon** in the top right corner, then **Manage sharing** to let specific people in CertLocker see this training record. For certificates of completion, see [Completion Certificates](/training/completion-certificates.md).

## Delete a Training

In **Training Details**, tap the **Trash Icon**, then confirm on **Delete training?** by tapping **Delete**. You'll be routed back to your Training list.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Check your renewal progress after deleting a training.** Deleting a training also removes the hours it credited to your Certs. Open each affected Cert's Renewals pane to check your totals (see [Track Renewal Progress](/my-certs/track-renewal-progress.md)).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.firecal.app/training/view-and-edit-training.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
