# Register for Training

Save your seat.

When your Org schedules a training session in CertLocker, you'll either be invited to it, or you'll find it open for registration. Either way, you can save your seat in a couple of taps.

## Find the Session

Tap **Training** in the navigation bar. Sessions you've been invited to appear under **Invitations** at the top of the **Upcoming** tab, and open sessions you can join on your own are on the **Available** tab. You'll also get a notice in your [Inbox](/more/inbox.md) when you're invited.

## Tap to Open

**Tap the Session** to open the **Training Session** screen, where you'll see its description, who's hosting it, when and where it is, how long it lasts, how many CE units it carries, the trainer, and its topics.

## Register or Decline

Tap **Register** to save your seat, and you'll see **Registered. See you there.** (If it adds **(reminder could not be scheduled)**, you're still registered; only the reminder didn't go through.) If you've been invited but can't make it, tap **Decline**. If your plans change after you've registered, tap **Unregister**.

You can also respond to an invitation right from the **Upcoming** tab, using the **Register** and **Decline** buttons on the session.

## Understanding Your Status

Your status for each session appears at the top of the Training Session screen:

* **Invited**: You've been invited and haven't responded yet.
* **Registered**: You're signed up. See you there!
* **Declined**: You've let the host know you can't attend.
* **Attended**: The host has marked you as present.
* **Completed**: The session has concluded, and your attendance has been recorded.
* **Certificate Issued**: Your completion certificate is ready. Tap **View Certificate** to see it.

## After the Session

After the training, the host marks who attended. When your Org concludes the session, it moves to your **History**, and its CE credit is applied to the Certs it counts toward. If the session issues certificates, yours will be waiting on the session, ready for your next renewal. If you attended but don't see the session in your History after it concludes, check with the host that you were marked as attended.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Why can't I register?** Some sessions are invitation only, and once a session has concluded, registration closes. CertLocker will tell you which applies.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.firecal.app/training/register-for-training.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
