# Completion Certificates

Proof of completion, ready for your renewal.

Certifying agencies usually want a certificate of completion for every training you count toward renewal. Keep each one with its Training Record, so it's right there when you need it.

## Tap to Open & Share

Tap **Training** in the navigation bar, **Tap the Training** to open it, then tap the **Share Icon** in the top right corner. The **Share this training record** sheet slides up.

## Upload Your Certificate

Tap **Attach completion certificate**, then **Upload a certificate** to add the certificate you received from the training provider. You'll see **Certificate attached.** when it's saved.

## Or Let CertLocker Make One

Didn't get a certificate? Tap **Generate completion certificate** (or **Attach completion certificate**, then **Generate CertLocker certificate**), and CertLocker will build a certificate PDF from the details in your Training Record. It opens in the viewer, where you can download or print it.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Building a renewal package?** [Export Training Evidence](/sharing-certs/export-training-evidence.md) gathers the document you attached when you logged each training (see [Log Training](/training/log-training.md)). Check the export before relying on it, and keep your own copy of every certificate you submit.
{% endhint %}

## View or Replace It

Once a certificate is attached, the Share sheet shows **Completion certificate**. Tap it to view the certificate, and from there you can **Replace certificate** if you need to.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Department sessions issue their own.** When your Org runs a training session with certificates turned on, your official certificate is issued to you automatically when the session concludes, as long as the host marked you as attended (see [Register for Training](/training/register-for-training.md)).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.firecal.app/training/completion-certificates.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
