# Sharing Preferences

You decide who sees what.

Your Sharing Preferences decide who can see each part of your CertLocker world. As a new user, it's worth a quick visit to check whether the defaults work for you.

## Tap More, Then Sharing Preferences

Tap **More** in the navigation bar, then tap **Sharing Preferences**. You'll see four categories, each with a summary of who can see it today:

* **Profile**: Your name, photo, and the basics.
* **Contact Info**: Your email, phone, and address.
* **Certs**: The Certs in your Locker.
* **Training Attendance**: The training you've attended.

## Choose Who Can See Each Category

Tap a category to open it, then turn on any of these:

* **Public**: Anyone signed in to CertLocker can view this category.
* **Followers**: People who follow you can view it.
* **People I follow**: People you follow can view it.

## Organization Visibility

Below those, **Organization visibility** shares the category with people in your Orgs. Turn on **Enabled**, then choose a **Default role floor** (**Admins only**, **Admins + Officers**, or **Everyone in the org**) and a **Scope**: **All my orgs**, or **Specify by org** to set each Org differently.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Compliance access always applies.** When your department added a Cert to your Locker, or ran a training session you attended, its compliance access applies to that record no matter what you choose here. To hide a single Cert from everyone else, see [Keep a Cert Private](/my-certs/keep-a-cert-private.md).
{% endhint %}

## Blocked Users

At the bottom, **Blocked Users** lists anyone you've blocked. Tap **Unblock** to let them see what your preferences allow again (see [Viewing Profiles](/sharing-and-followers/viewing-profiles.md)).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.firecal.app/sharing-and-followers/sharing-preferences.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
