# Inbox

Everything that needs your attention, in one place.

Your Inbox collects the notifications about activity on your account, like approaching Cert expirations, training invitations, Org invites, and follow requests.

## Open Your Inbox

Tap **More** in the navigation bar, then **Inbox**. (You can also tap the **Inbox** card on your [Daily Briefing](/getting-started/daily-briefing.md), or **Inbox** in the sidebar on a wider screen.)

Use the tabs at the top to see **All** your notifications, just the **Unread** ones, or the ones you've **Archived**. Tap **Mark all read** to clear your unread count in one go.

## One Inbox for All Your FireCal Apps

Your Inbox is shared across every FireCal app you use, so you might see a TaskBook reminder or an open shift here too. Tap the **App Filter Icon** at the top to switch between **Showing all apps** and showing just CertLocker. **Mark all read** only affects the notifications you're looking at.

## Read a Notification

Tap a notification to open it, and it's marked as read. Many notifications include a button to take you right to what they're about, like **Open cert** or **View training session**. You can also **Mark as unread**, **Archive**, or **Delete** it from there.

## Archive or Delete

Back in the list, each notification has **Archive** and **Delete** buttons. Archiving tucks it away on the **Archived** tab (tap **Undo** if you change your mind). Deleting asks **Delete this message?**, because it can't be undone. Tap **Delete** to confirm.

When you've handled everything, you'll see **You're all caught up**.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Want fewer, or different, notifications?** Choose which events reach your Inbox, and whether they also come by push, email, or text, in [Notification Preferences](/more/notification-preferences.md).
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.firecal.app/more/inbox.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
