# Introduction

CertLocker: Work. Don't worry.

**Welcome to CertLocker!**

CertLocker makes it easy to keep up with all the mission critical Certs, Licenses, and Qualifications you've worked hard to earn, along with the training that keeps them current.

To get started, **add your Certs** (photograph them and let CertBot read them for you, or type them in), and we'll keep them safe in the cloud. Browse your Locker to **keep up with your renewal progress**, and when an expiration date is approaching, **we'll send you a reminder**.

**Log your training** as you go, and credit the hours to the right Certs, so when renewal time comes around, your progress and your evidence are already in one place.

Join the **Orgs where you work**, and your department can **verify and maintain compliance** across every Member's Certs, run training sessions, and even **generate training completion certificates** for attendees.

If you're working on CEs with friends who also work in the field, follow each other in the app to stay accountable and on track for renewal.

CertLocker is free, including AI import, and your personal Locker doesn't need a department to get started.

## Where to Start

New to CertLocker? Head over to [Get the App](/getting-started/get-the-app.md), then [Create an Account](/getting-started/create-an-account.md). If you already had a CertLocker account, start with [Welcome Back](/getting-started/welcome-back.md).

If you need help along the way, start with this documentation. We're eager to hear from you about how we can improve, and what you'd like to see added. Reach us any time at <support@firecal.app>, or use **Send feedback** in the app (see [Help & Feedback](/support-and-feedback/help-and-feedback.md)).

We know you want to focus on what you've trained for and not get bogged down wrangling your Certs. That's why we built CertLocker.

Work. Don't Worry.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.firecal.app/getting-started/readme.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
